Leslie Goule 1943 - 2013

Leslie Goule 1943 - 2013

It is with great sadness that Leslie Goule passed away on 19th December 2013 after going into hospital for heart surgery.

Les as his friends called him started flying & competing in control line at the Nationals in the 1960's, this then led him into joining various different clubs before becoming a long standing member of the Three Shires MFC along with Jim Davis, Dave Wright & many more.

Les was always on hand to pass on his knowledge not only of modelling but also his engineering skills to new & old members.

Les, Wife Patricia, sons Steven, Paul & Darren then started enjoying the Pontins Model Makers Festival at Brean Sands along with Jim Davis.  Les really enjoyed been a marshall on the beach & would be on hand all day every day to help & have fun with many fellow modellers including his very good friend Ted Galbraith.  Les & his family attended the Model Makers for nearly 20 years, Brean became part of Les & Patricia to which they retired there & Les would be on the beach everyday enjoying all his memories & also making new ones with his grandchildren.

Les was extremely proud of his family & was happy that his son Darren took to flying at a young age.  In more recent years Les was so pleased that Darren had been lucky enough to fly for Horizon Hobbies, Les would often speak to Darren asking what he was building & what shows he was going to. This became even more special when Les found out his eldest granddaughter Kelsey was flying & that in 2013 she passed her 'A'.

Leslie will be so sadly missed by all his friends & he has left many broken hearts.
