HOUSE OF COMMONS SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY COMMITTEE - COMMERCIAL AND RECREATIONAL DRONE USE INQUIRY - SECOND EVIDENCE SESSION

The Science and Technology Committee will hold its second evidence session on its Commercial and recreational drone use in the UK inquiry on Wednesday 26th June.

This is the second session of the Committee's inquiry into commercial and recreational drone use in the UK, and will help the Committee to seek evidence on the risks and opportunities arising from the growing use of civilian drones. Themes for this session include:

▪ the risks posed by drone technology to both manned aircrafts and individuals; and

▪ the social and economic opportunities presented by the growth of the drone industry.

The UK Model Flying Associations provided written evidence to the Science and Technology Committee back in April and will be represented at the evidence session scheduled for 9th July.
