The AHA on behalf of the UK F3C & F3N Aerobatic Helicopter Teams would like to invite applications for the role of Team Manager for each discipline to participate at the FAI F3CN European Championships in Italy in 2020.
Exact dates and the venue are yet to be confirmed but the Championship will be held over 10 days during August or September 2020 in Northern Italy.
The Team Manager (TM) role involves ensuring that competition entries and all related paperwork and forms are completed correctly and submitted in good time to the BMFA, event organisers or FAI as applicable. They would also be expected to ensure that all qualified pilots have made the necessary travel arrangements and are available for the full duration of the Championships.
The successful applicant would be expected to have a good working knowledge of the discipline for which they are applying and would be expected to take a pro-active role in the team's preparations for the competition with respect to practice, training days and feedback on their pilot's performances in the coming months.
Once at the championships the TM role is to liaise between the team (pilots, mechanics and helpers) and the organising body (event organisers, FAI representatives and contest director) as required at pre-arranged Team Managers Meetings. The TM is also expected to ensure that their pilots are fully briefed on their flying slot times each day and are at the contest line in good time to complete their scheduled contest flight. The TM will have a seat available on the contest line and is expected to watch each of his team pilots complete their contest flight and provide feedback or de-brief after the flight to help identify areas where improvements could be made.
Applications should be sent via email to The AHA Committee and the closing date for applications to be received is Friday October 4th 2019.
