CAA set to increase Operator Registration Fee

The CAA have recently published their Scheme of Charges for the 2022/23 financial year, which states that the fee to register with them as an 'Operator' of an unmanned aircraft will be increasing to £10 per year (from the current £9).  This increase will apply to everyone who is either registering as an Operator or renewing their current registration from the 1st April 2022.

One consolation is that the fee still has some way to go to reach the £16.50 proposed originally by the CAA back in 2019 which was strongly opposed by the BMFA and its members.

Full details can be found in in the CAA Scheme of Charges (General Aviation) which you can view here: https://publicapps.caa.co.uk/docs/33/390%20GAS%202022-23.pdf
