It is with great sadness that I have to report the passing of SAM 1066 Chairman John Thompson on the Friday 12 May following a collapse at his home. Our condolences go to his wife Anne and all of his family. The new National Visitor Centre and Model Flying site opens at 9am on Monday 8th May for model aircraft flying. See the National Centre website at http://nationalcentre.bmfa.org/ for further details. A season ticket is a positive way of supporting the BMFA National Flying Site and Visitor Centre Project as well as attracting those who are intending to be regular users of BMFA Buckminster.
