The Royal Aero Club (RAeC) awards the 2016 Queens Cup to the BMFA.

Her Majesty The Queen approved the gift of the trophy to the Royal Aero Club of the United Kingdom in 2010 and events were held in 2011 (British Aerobatic Association), 2012 (British Microlight Aircraft Association) and 2013 (British Balloon & Airship Club). The trophy is of Irish silver and dates from around 1719 and sits on a wooden base. EASA Proposals for the Regulation of Drones - the BMFA Perspective

F1C World Championship Bronze Medal & F1 Challenge Cup 3rd place for GBR

The British F1C (Free Flight Power) team of John Cuthbert, Ken Faux & Mick Lester took the Team Bronze medal at the F1 FAI World Championships in Mongolia.  Congratulations to all three pilots. The GBR team of nine pilots placed 3rd in the F1 Challenge which cover all three F1 classes: F1A, F1B & F1C (Glider, Rubber Power, IC Power). Congratulations to the whole GBR F1 team for this outstanding performance.
