Norman Martindale 1935-2016

Members of Halton and District Model Flying Club learned with much sadness of the death of their Club Honorary President Norman Martindale who passed away in hospital on May 5th 2016 after a short illness. Norman had faced challenging health problems in recent years with characteristic stoicism and courage. Ivan Goodchild (1946 - 2016)

I am sad to report that Ivan Goodchild passed away suddenly on Sunday 8th May whilst taking part in an LMA Fly in at Binham, Norfolk. He had just finished flying his beloved B17, said he felt a bit funny, sat down and passed away. Paramedics were called and the East Anglian Air Ambulance attended but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
