The Royal Aero Club (RAeC) awards the 2016 Queens Cup to the BMFA.

Her Majesty The Queen approved the gift of the trophy to the Royal Aero Club of the United Kingdom in 2010 and events were held in 2011 (British Aerobatic Association), 2012 (British Microlight Aircraft Association) and 2013 (British Balloon & Airship Club). The trophy is of Irish silver and dates from around 1719 and sits on a wooden base. John Benzing 1941-2016

It is sad to say that John passed away after a short battle with cancer. John had been a keen Control Line flyer for many years, competing in his earlier days in Combat and then finding his vocation flying CL Aerobatics.
