Bob Meager 1935-2014

Robert Lawrence Meager, known to friends and family as Bob, was born on July 16, 1935 and lived in Sheffield all his life.   He first saw control line aircraft being flown in the park as a teenager and was so spellbound by it that he ran home and dragged his father to come and see. National Centre for Model Flying – Feasibility Study Launched

After years of discussion and speculation amongst members, the BMFA is to conduct a feasibility study to fully assess ‘once and for all’ the viability of establishing a ‘national centre’ for model flying. First Person View Exemption renewed and updated.23/4/2014

Suggestions from the BMFA special interest group for FPV, Multi-rotors and emerging technologies were put to the CAA at the annual meeting between the CAA and UK model flying associations in November by the BMFA.
