The British Model Flying Association is seeking to recruit a talented and highly-motivated person as a Finance & Admin Support Officer to join the existing staff.
This role will be primarily focussed on the accounting and financial management of the Association in preparation for the retirement of our long-term Accounts Manager in early 2024.
The role will also entail some responsibility for assisting with the day-to-day operation of the BMFA National Centre and an involvement in other areas of the BMFA’s activities (such as membership administration, web content, social media etc) dependent upon experience. The position will require occasional work during evenings and weekends and some flexibility will be required.
The successful applicant will have exceptional organisational skills and previous experience in an accounting/bookkeeping role. Familiarity with Microsoft Office and SAGE accounting software would be desirable. First class verbal and written communication skills are essential, and the successful applicant must be able to work both as part of a close-knit team and also independently. Practical skills and experience of working with volunteers would also be an advantage.
It would be beneficial if the successful applicant has some interest or experience with aeromodelling and is pro-active, learns quickly and has enthusiasm and energy. This post will be mainly based at BMFA Buckminster but will require some initial travel to the Leicester office.
