The 75th Annual General Meeting of the Society of Model Aeronautical Engineers (SMAE) Ltd took place on Saturday 19th November.
The AGM approved a small increase in the membership fees for 2023, primarily to cover the increased cost of insurance premiums.
2023 Membership fees (renewals will be available from 1st December 2022) are therfore:
Senior £42.00
Junior £20.00
Family Partner £29.00
Family Junior £15.00
Please note that due to a price increase from the supplier, the optional plastic membership and Vectis Rewards card will be £5.50 for 2023.
We will also be launching digital membership cards (to add to smartphone wallets) which will be available free to all members, or £3.20 if the Vectis Rewards Scheme is included.
The CAA Operator Registration remains at £10.00 but may be subject to an increase for those whose renewal falls after 1 April (see: https://bmfa.org/caa-proposes-20-increase-in-operator-registration-fee-from-april-2023). Please note CAA registration renewals can only be processed within 28 days of the registration expiry date.
