The team of Alan Jack, Simon Dixon and the current World Champion, Neil Allen have won the team silver medal at the F1C free-flight engine-assisted glider at the European Championships at Prilep, Macedonia.

F1C is the power class. 1bhp, 4 sec engine run. straight up climb with the wings folded, quarter of an outside loop, wings open and glide.

It was as usual here hot and calm to start at 7.30am for round 1 transitioning by round 3 to wind,. thermals and big flights. Our team of Neil.Allen (current world F1C champion), Simon Dixon and myself (see pic) worked through a tough test, each dropping but a little time to wind up in the silver medal.position close behind Ukraine. They have a long and distinguished record in this class. It’s no surprise that they have become so good at drone warfare!

The models were drifting around a mile  downwind which put a lot of pressure on our receivers Peter Martin snd Richard Jack. Richard recorded 15mls of walking during the day. Our result is very much shared with them too (see pic).
