<p>Paul Eisner took the individual Bronze medal with a speed of 299.4 kph in the final round of the F2A (Control Line Speed) World Championships. Peter Halman was 5th with 298.3 kph also set in the final round and Ken Morrissey was 23rd with 289.4 kph set in the second round.</p>
<p>Although winning only one individual medal, the British team nonetheless came home from the World Championships with the Team Bronze medal.</p>
<p>It had been a difficult two years with injury and illness for two of the team members and training disrupted by the weather. This showed in the results with the GBR Team 5.8 kph behind the winning team (Hungary). But a total of 887.1 kph is still not to be sniffed at and achieving a podium medal is always the goal. There was a huge field of 48 competitors from 19 nations in the Speed class with 43 of them returning official flights. The host nation, France, was out of the medals down in 6th place. Peter Halman, Paul Eisner and Ken Morrissey worked relentlessly throughout the Championships and their work paid of with the Team Bronze.</p>
<p> There were no individual or team medals for the other three GBR Teams: F2B (Aerobatics); F2C (Team Racing) and F2D (Combat).</p>
