<p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri; color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: 16px;">Ken, a Life Member of the Marquis Model Flying Club, passed
away on 3</span><sup><span style="font-size: 13px;">rd</span></sup><span style="font-size: 16px;"> December at the age of 87 Ken was not only a founder
member of the Club but the chairman at the inaugural meeting which was held in
his garage workshop in 1967. What started years earlier with a loose group of
model fliers using a wartime airfield just outside Weymouth near to a pub
called the Marquis of Granby became the Club which endures to this day.</span></span></p>

<p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: 16px; color: #000000;">He remained as chairman until 1970 and returned to this job
between 1995 and 2005. He was always the mainstay of maintaining the club power
site and must have covered many miles driving the club mowers which he kept
going on a shoestring. He was a keen builder of models and was famous
(infamous?) for his incorporation of ingenious mechanisms made from all sorts
of scrap materials. from (we think) bits of a child&rsquo;s pushchair.</span></p>
