Control Line Combat is a battle between two competitors flying in the same circle/hemisphere with models towing streamers.
Its highly addictive and great fun, and also noisy and sometimes a bit destructive. Its exciting from both within the circle as a pilot and from outside as a mechanic or spectator.
The two pilots fly all over the same hemisphere chasing the streamer towed by their opponent. Skilled pilots can fly eyes off allowing them to watch their opponent at all times, a useful skill.
In the UK the most popular class is Vintage combat which uses well known designs from the 70s. International class competitions use Noisy Glow motors in models doing 100MPH and pulling 50G round corners.
Be warned that combat is highly addictive, and you can get sucked in to endless practice sessions improving your skills, and attend events all over the UK and the world.
