The 76th AGM took place on November 18th.
In the face of reducing membership numbers, the Board proposed some significant cuts in expenditure coupled with an inflationary increase in the senior subscription rate to £45. However, this proposal was amended by a vote of the AGM which set the rate to £47.
Therefore, the subscriptions for the 2024 membership year will be:
Senior £47
Junior £20
Family Partner £30
Family Junior £15
Non-Flyer £20
There were no changes proposed for juniors but the Board committed to review the future arrangements for junior memberships and will develop some proposals in due course.
Members will receive a hard copy of the BMFA NEWS in the New Year which will include their membership stickers, but the 3 subsequent issues planned for 2024 will be published online with hard copies only being available for an additional paid for subscription (£10 for 3 copies) to cover printing and postal costs.
