<p>It is sad to say that John passed away after a short battle with cancer. John had been a keen Control Line flyer for many years, competing in his earlier days in Combat and then finding his vocation flying CL Aerobatics. He has been the BMFA National Champion as well as CLAPA Champion. Although a very insular person, he was totally dedicated as Secretary of CLAPA for in excess of 15 years. He was involved with the running of the Aerobatics at Old Warden for many years as well as helping at many other club Aerobatic meetings. John also had a passion for Lido swimming pools and visited many throughout the country along with an interest in retro cinemas and theatres. His interests took him as far afield as Australia.</p>
<p>He will be missed.</p>
